UTIL is a player's projected ownership in a flex slot; CPT is his projected ownership in the Captain/MVP slot — two different figures, not one restated.

Showdown, Afternoon/Early and primetime ownership is projected from a smaller player pool than the main slate, so expect wider swings.

Single-game ownership is projected by the same models as the main slate and updates continuously until lock.

Who's the top DraftKings showdown captain and FLEX play for CIN @ ATL · Showdown · Locks Sun, Nov 8 · 9:30 AM ET?

Joe Burrow is the field's top projected FLEX/UTIL play at 86.6% projected ownership. Bijan Robinson leads the Captain/MVP slot at 27.1% projected ownership.

How these ownership projections are measured

FTA's ownership models are machine-learning models that retrain and re-predict around the clock as news, lineups, and salaries change, so the projections keep getting sharper as a slate approaches.

Showdown (single-game) slates split a player's ownership into two separate numbers: his FLEX/UTIL ownership and his Captain/MVP ownership, since the Captain spot carries its own 1.5x points and 1.5x salary on DraftKings and FanDuel and is chosen independently from the rest of the lineup. Watching both columns together — not just the flex number — is how you see where the field is actually building its showdown lineups.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is NFL showdown DFS ownership?

Showdown (single-game) slates use one NFL matchup and split every player into two roster slots: Captain (1.5x points and 1.5x salary) and FLEX. Ownership is tracked separately for each slot, so a player can be a crowded Captain pick while his FLEX ownership stays low, or the reverse.

How do I use the game picker on this page?

Pick DraftKings or FanDuel with the site tabs, then use the game selector to switch between live single-game slates when more than one is posted — most commonly the two Monday Night Football games on a doubleheader week.

Why does the Captain/MVP column sometimes say it isn't posted yet?

Captain ownership is projected separately from FLEX/UTIL ownership and can take longer to post, especially early in the week. The page shows FLEX ownership as soon as it's available and fills in the Captain column once that projection is ready, rather than guessing with a placeholder number.

When is TNF/SNF/MNF showdown ownership available?

Showdown ownership typically appears once DraftKings and FanDuel release the single-game slate, usually a day or two before kickoff, and keeps moving as injury designations, inactives and weather reports land through the week.
