MLB Player Props Today

Our MLB props today page ranks every available player prop using projection data from FanGraphs, confirmed lineups from Rotowire, and current Vegas lines. Each prop is scored by comparing a player's projected stat line to the sportsbook number, surfacing the bets with the highest expected edge. Data refreshes throughout the day as lineups lock and lines move.

How We Rank MLB Props

Home run props are ranked by a batter's ISO (Isolated Power) split against the opposing pitcher's handedness, adjusted for today's park factor and batting order position. Batters hitting 1-4 in the lineup receive a weighting bonus because they accumulate more plate appearances per game. Strikeout props combine the pitcher's K rate with the opposing team's strikeout tendency (K%) to project a strikeout total, which is then compared to the posted line.

Home Run Props vs Strikeout Props

Home run props carry higher variance but larger payouts — look for batters with a .220+ ISO in hitter-friendly parks (park factor above 1.05) facing a pitcher who allows a high fly-ball rate. Strikeout props are more predictable and better suited for parlays — a pitcher with a 28%+ K rate facing a team that strikes out 25%+ of the time is a strong over candidate. Combining both prop types on the same slate helps balance risk and reward.

MLB Props Betting Strategy

Always wait for lineup confirmation before placing MLB player props — batting order and lineup presence directly affect projections. Pay attention to park factor thresholds: a park factor above 1.05 meaningfully boosts home run probability, while a factor below 0.95 suppresses it.
