NFL Player News

Quarterback, running back, wide receiver and tight end news only — the positions that decide fantasy football lineups.

Every note on this page concerns a QB, RB, WR or TE, so you are not scrolling past special-teams and defensive-line updates to find the players on your roster. Each row links to the player's full page and to his team page, carries the outlet that reported it, and shows the date it was published. Near-identical wire copies of the same report are collapsed into one entry.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why does the NFL news page only show QB, RB, WR and TE?
Because those are the positions that decide a fantasy football lineup. The raw NFL wire is dominated by defensive and offensive-line notes, and scrolling past a cornerback's practice report to find your flex is wasted time. This page filters to quarterbacks, running backs, wide receivers and tight ends only. If you need the full designation list for every position, including defenders and linemen, use the NFL Injury Report instead.
What does each NFL news item show?
Every row carries the player's headshot, his full name linked to his FTA player page, his team logo linked to the team page, the blurb itself, the outlet that reported it, and the date it was published. When the report is recent enough for the tag to still describe the player, the injury or status designation is shown alongside it.
Why do some NFL news items have no injury designation badge?
A designation like Questionable or Out describes a player at a moment in time, and a blurb can sit unchanged for weeks when there is simply nothing new to report. Rather than render a months-old Questionable tag as if it were this week's status, FTA suppresses the badge once the item is older than two weeks. The blurb, date and source stay visible at any age — only the badge is gated.
Why does the same NFL report not appear twice?
The wire frequently syndicates one underlying report through more than one outlet, with only the attribution phrasing changed. FTA collapses near-identical copies of the same report about the same player on the same day into a single entry, keeping the first one ingested, so the feed reads as a list of distinct updates rather than the same note three times.
How should I use NFL player news for fantasy and DFS?
Read it as the narrative layer on top of the numbers. A snap-count note or a beat-writer line about a backfield split often moves a player's role before any projection or injury report reflects it. Pair it with the NFL Injury Report for official designations, the depth charts for role, and Who Should I Start for the lineup call itself.
