Point Guard

Ty Lawson – Sacramento Kings ($4200)

Last game the Kings started Ty Lawson at point guard with Collison at SG.  Ty Lawson played 37 minutes against the Clippers while dropping in 17 points, 6 assists and 4 rebounds for 32 fantasy points. Assuming Ty Lawson draws the start again tonight, he is a must play in at home against the Warriors.  On the season in 25.5 MPG, Ty Lawson is averaging 21.5 FPPG! With a minutes bump up over 35 minutes we can reasonably expect 25+ fanasy point which is more than enough to pay off a 4200 price tag.  Lock in Ty Lawson and move on to the rest of your lineup.

Other Options: Darren Collison, Kyrie Irving, Eric Bledsoe, Elfrid Payton, D’Angelo Russell

Shooting Guard

[drizzle]

Garrett Temple – Sacramento Kings ($3800)

Shooting guard is the worst spot overall tonight.  I can’t find a single play that I really, really want to lock in to my lineup.  Perhaps some late news will come out to change that, but for now I’ll take Garrett Temple who has played 30+ minutes in b2b contests.  With Lawons and Collison likely starting against we should see Temple in that 30 minute range once again as he averages 17.4 FPPG on 24.5 MPG this season.  With 30 minutes I expect at least 20 fantay point from Temple, and while he doesn’t seem to have a ton of upside, there currently isn’t a play to hang my hat on.

Other Options: Jordan Clarkson, Nick Young, Devin Booker, Klay Thompson, Brandon Knight

Small Forward

Aaron Gordon – Orlando Magic ($5600)

Anyone who reads my articles regularly will know that Aaron Gordon is on my Mike Conley never again list.  These are guys that we have every reason to play, and they crap the bed.  Well.. here we are again.  Gordon has cleared 26 fantasy points in each of his last 4 games, including 32+ in his last 3.  The Lakers give up the 3rd most FPPG to the small forward position, meaning Gordon should keep his streak alive this evening.

Other Options: Lebron James, PJ Tucker, Kevin Durant, Rudy Gay

Power Forward

Julius Randle – Los Angeles Lakers ($7000)

Randle loves some home cooking.  On the season Randle averages 35.7 FPPG at home, compared to 29.1 on the road.  Over his last 3 home games, Randle has put up 44, 58, and 31 fantasy points.  On a short slate I’ll likely have multiple PFs in my lineup tonight as Demarcus Cousins should have a big game against the Warriors, and Draymond Green looks good as well. At his reduced price tag though, I’m making Randle priority #1.

Other Options: Demarcus Cousins, Draymond Green, Serge Ibaka, Zach Randolph, Derrick Favors (minutes restriction?), Kevin Love

Center

Draymond Green – Golden State Warriors ($7500)

Nice thing about Draftkings these days is the multi-eligibility.  Draymond is available at center, so I’ll take him at just $7500.  So far this season Dray is averaging 37.8 FPPG on the road in 32 minutes per game.  While he doesn’t take many shots (averaging just 8.6 per game), Dray contributes in a number of areas with his 8.2 rebounds, 6.2 assists, 2.3 steals and 1.1 blocks per game. I think he offers a nice safe 35 point floor in this matchup, with the upside for 40+ if he starts filling up all the categories.  $7500 is a nice price tag given the matchup, so Dray will find his way into my lineups.

Other Options: Zaza Pachulia, Nikola Vucevic, Rudy Gobert

That wraps up the picks for the 8 PM main slate on Draftkings this evening.  If you have any comments or questions about Ty Lawson or any other player listed be sure to find me in chat as we discuss the top plays available on the slate.  Good luck with your daily NBA lineups this evening!
