NFL Week 7 – FanDuel GPP Plays

NFL Week 7 – FanDuel GPP Plays

Welcome to the jungle, we’ve got fun and games. We got everything you want honey, we got the names. We are the people that can find whatever you may need. If you got the money, honey we got your GPP plays. – Guns N’ Roses (with a slight edit)

Keep in mind that FanDuel scoring offers half a point for PPR whereas DraftKings offers a full point. FD also does not offer a bonus for 100 yards RB/WR and 300 yards QB like DK does. When assessing these plays, we’re looking for touchdown dependent and/or heavy workload horses. Get it? Got it. Good.

Quarterbacks

My Favorite:

Andrew Luck – $8,200: Averaging 48 passes a game through 6 games has me locked in on Luck for tournaments this week. We may not call it a cash game play due to his obsession with throwing interceptions (3 last week, 2 the week before – eek), but with that passing volume, how can you not want to have a piece of the action. Eric Ebron ($6,800) has been his favorite target, so pairing the two would be ideal. He also has a slew of WRs priced very favorably for a larger stack if you want to get crazy and attack the middle of the road Buffalo Bills Defense. I suspect Luck’s ownership will be a tad low, therefore we shall capitalize on this play while Luck throws the ball 50 times. Remember, DFS is a game of skill but a lot of luck is needed.

Other Plays:

Carson Wentz – $7,600

Joe Flacco – $7,500

Baker Mayfield – $7,100

Running Backs

My Favorite:

Todd Gurley – $10,200: He’s so expensive that many will pay down for the likes of Zeke, CMC or flip-a-coin Patriots RB. At $1,800 more than the next RB (Zeke), he’s going to need quite the game to pay off that value. I’d say 9 touchdowns in 6 games, averaging 100+ yards on the ground, and sitting 1st amongst RBs in rush yards, touches, and TDs, it’s safe to say that there’s a good chance he’ll hit value. The Niners 19th ranked defense is coming off an emotional game where CJ “Manning” Beathard had the team riding the high-wave. Look for that to slow down a bit when the Rams come to town. Goff can keep the defense guessing with his decent QB play as of late and Gurley is on pace for a record breaking season in multiple categories. Pay up for the guy and find value elsewhere.

Other Plays:

Tarik Cohen – $6,600

Latavius Murray – $6,500 (if Cook is out)

Peyton Barber – $6,100

Wide Receiver

My Favorite:

Adam Thielen – $8,300: He is a target animal, they might as well put a bunch of red circles around the guy. Averaging 118 yards per game and accruing 100+ yards in each of their six games thus far, how can you not love the guy. This week they’ll take on the 22nd rank New Jersey Jets defense who will be spinning circles trying to keep up with the elusiveness of Adam T. Again, he’s costly but I do believe he has the ability to pay off value as Kirk continues to be a gunslinger out there. “You like that!”

Other Plays:

Michael Thomas – $8,600

Mike Evans – $7,800

Kenny Golladay – $7,000

Michael Crabtree – $6,600

Jarvis Landry – $6,500

Chester Rogers – $6,000

Marquise Goodwin – $5,500

Tight End

Eric Erbon – $6,800: No reason to come off Ebron now, while he’s scored a TD in 5/6 games and has Luck’s eyes all over him since Hilton went down. The Bills defense has been decent, but Luck throws the ball so much that we have to play the “opportunity game” here. If you’re going to pay up for a TE, do so with EE and count your chickens later.

Other Plays:

Zach Ertz – $7,500

George Kittle – $6,400

Kyle Rudolph – $6,000

David Njoku – $5,700

Defense

My Favorite:

Indianapolis Colts – $4,100: Look who’s playing the Bills and plug the in.
