NFL Week 3 FanDuel GPP Plays

NFL Week 3 – FanDuel GPP Plays

Week 3 is here and so am I to help you find those GPP nuggets. Forget Patrick Mahomes and Drew whatever. Tom, Joe, Phil, blah! Let’s get crazy and find our version of “FitzMagic” this week. Team stacks are screaming our name this week, so lets dig deep into the eyes of the dragon.

Keep in mind that FanDuel scoring offers half a point for PPR whereas DraftKings offers a full point. FD also does not offer a bonus for 100 yards RB/WR and 300 yards QB like DK does. When assessing these plays, we’re looking for touchdown dependent and/or heavy workload horses. Get it? Got it. Good.

My Favorite:

Mitchell Trubisky – $6,500: Mitch heads into the University of Phoenix to take on the putrid Cardinals defense that ranks close to last in all statistical categories. Big Mitch carries a price tag that allows you to stack him with his homies, Jordan Howard and Allen Robinson – and still have cash left over for anyone you want and a bottle of Johnny Walker. Save the bottle until Sunday night when Mitch has you raking in a GPP with a (LOL) Bears stack! Clearly a GPP play. I repeat, clearly a GPP play. 😉

Other Plays:

Patrick Mahomes  $8,900: stack him up with the whole damn offense (Hunt, Hill, Kelce)

Cam Newton – $8,300: throw some Funchess at him, with a side of CMC

Deshaun Watson – $7,700: stack him up with Hopkins, or get crazy with Fuller V

Matt Ryan – $7,700: Julio, Julio, what do you see (o)(o)

Carson Wentz – $7,400: welcome back – Go Birds!

Running Backs

My Favorite:

Christian McCaffrey – $7,900: 15 targets last week. Fifteen. To take down a GPP, we need opportunity and if anyone is on the field for opportunities to gain points, it’s my friend Christian. He went from 10.5 FD pts in Week 1 to 20.9 FD pts in Week 2. Why not continue the trend and look for 31.3 FD pts this week? Even if he lands in the low-mid 20s, we’re happy with the production of CMC. Lock and Load.

Other Plays:

Todd Gurley – $9,300: That’s a lot of dough, but he’s shown no reason to believe he’ll do anything other than kick more ass. If I have to choose between Todd & Alvin, I’m leaving the chipmunk at home.

Saquan Barkley – $8,000: Speaking of targets and opportunity, Barkley had 11 carries and caught 14 of 16 targets last week against the division rival Cowboys. Look for Barkley to continue to carry the load for old man Eli and be a focal point of this Giants offense.

Jordan Howard – $7,400: – See the note above about Mitchell.

More RBs to toss around in GPPs:

Alvin Kamara – $8,700: If you’re paying up at RB and like him more than Todd, by all means.

David Johnson – $8,200: Awful start to the season but with a decent matchup this week, we could see DJ do DJ things.

Kareem Hunt – $7,900: Mahomes has all parts of this offense fired up,

Giovanni Bernard – $6,400: Chalk city with Mixon out, but fire away!

Matt Breida – $6,200: Drop back 10 and punt!

Corey Clement – $5,800: No Ajayi. No Sproles. Feed the man!

Wide Receiver

My Favorite:

Nelson Agholor – $6,600: Nelson gets the big man on campus back this week. Look for Nelson’s hands to continue to shine like Jerry Rice as the Eagles welcome the Colts in to Super Bowl territory.

Other Plays:

Michael Thomas – $9,000: Target friendly; 1st down monster and safety net for Brees.

Julio Jones – $8,700: Matty Ice needs to find this guy if the Falcons want to get back to the playoffs.

Tyreek Hill – $8,200: Cheetah!!!

Will Fuller V – $7,200: Pivot from the higher priced, longer haired – D. Hop.

Manny Sanders – $6,900: Looks good in orange.

Allen Robinson – $6,500: Primed for a breakout game with sneaky Mitch.

Keelan Cole – $6,400: If Fournette plays, it helps his case. Blake likes Keelan. Keelan likes Blake.

Devin Funchess – $6,200: It’s just fun to say the guys name.

Tight End

Travis Kelce – $6,800 – Big fan of the Chiefs this week if you haven’t noticed yet. Kelce broke out last week (as I had predicted). As mentioned above, Mahomes has the Chiefs offense clicking in all directions.

Other Plays:

Zach Ertz – $7,000: Copy/Paste the note above for Nelson Agholor.

George Kittle – $5,800: While the Chiefs offense is clicking everywhere, their defense has been missing in action. Look for Kittle to increase his target count this week and be a top 3 TE.

Trey Burton – $5,700: Da Bears!

Eric Ebron – $5,500: Captain Jack is out, so Ebron should see the field quite often. The Eagles D has the potential to lock down, but they also have the potential to do the complete opposite. Ebron could be a cheap TE plug and play.

My Favorite:

Jacksonville Jaguars – $5,000: Highest priced Defense for a reason.

Minnesota Vikings – $4,900: Slim Pickens at D this week. Eat the chalk and differentiate elsewhere.
