After a disappointing week 10 for my Defense/Special Teams selections, hopefully my week 11 selections helped some fantasy owners get a much needed win. My week 11 selections scored 22, 19, and 7 fantasy points. Entering week 12 the defense you need to own is the New York Giants. The Giants defense has been playing great football, and have the best matchup in football facing the Cleveland Browns.
The Playoffs are only a few weeks away, are you ready? If not head over to our forums! All you need to do is create a free account, and they you are able to ask as many questions as you want!
New York Giants(48%): I said it last week and I will say it again. I will continue to put the defense Cleveland is facing on this list until they prove they can effectively score the ball. The Giants are ranked 11th in points allowed so far this season averaging 20 points per game. Cleveland averages 16.7 points per game on offense, and I can’t see that stagnant offense breaking their average in week 12.
Detroit Lions(16%): Don’t let Minnesota’s record fool you. The Vikings offense is the worst in the NFL in total yards, rushing yards and ranks 25th in passing yards while only scoring 20.5 points per game. While Detroit’s defense isn’t anything special, I believe this thanksgiving day matchup could be a low scoring affair. These two teams met back in week 9. Detroit held Minnesota to 16 points, and the leading rusher for the Vikings was Ronnie Hillman with a grand total of 30 yards.
Tennessee Titans(16%): I love the Titans this week due to the fact that the Chicago Bears biggest weapons are all unavailable for Sundays game. The Bears are missing starting quarterback Jay Cutler due to a shoulder injury that may keep him out for the year. Alshon Jeffery is still serving his 4 game suspension for PED’s, and tight end Zach Miller is out for the rest of the season with a broken foot. Although the Titans have a disappointing defense Chicago has only averaged 15.7 points per game, and with Matt Barkley likely to start in place of Cutler I wouldn’t be surprised if the Titans blowout the Bears in week 12.
