Ok, rosters have been transferred to Yahoo! The fantastically ridiculous draft eval should be incoming.
Discord instructions Everyone is on Yahoo, so we're good there. Feel free to leave your league name something of your choosing, but remember to do the below near the end of the season. if you don't you might not get to claim your winnings.

And with my last pick I'm taking Ezekiel Elliot, Cowboys RB. He lowered production after a decent rookie year but...

Jk, I'm taking Dan Bailey because he kicks the ball good and having lost their two main redzone receivers I expect them to miss out on TDs and having to settle for three pointers.

A guy who blew up for over 350yds during the playoffs, in a team that just lost the receiver with most receptions in the league and facing worse receiver competition than with the Pats, I'll take Danny at this spot as my last WR...

I don't know what weird shit is going on with Gordon, but I'll take Coleman in case he has to fill that role, could end up being a shitty flex play on bye weeks if he's the second receiver behind Landry, and I will for sure hate him when he drops the ball.
But look at this cool dude

If McCoy is out, this is the best guy behind him. Is he good? Meh. Will he get a lot of touches? Who knows. But what I do know is that he may be THE running back on his team, and at this point that's a good gamble to make, especially having the guy he may end up replacing.

For some reason I can't delete that emoji or that tag, but he's on deck so that's fine.
I'm getting Quincy Enunwa, needed another WR, wanted Shepard or Nelson, might as well go for a guy that could very well end up being the main receiver on his team.

The top teams I see are are captainqwark, who had three first picks I adore, Risen has two solid WRs and two RBs that are very boom or bust (which apparently i like given what I drafted), and I also like DaaBears quite a bit, having Zeke who I think will be the best fantasy player this season, a very solid WR corps and the best fantasy qb.
In the bottom, I really dislike my team though I can see it having a good run if none of the injuries/suspensions I foresee end up occurring. MitchTitties and Tony have weird teams that could end up being great, but they seem to lack some decent floor at WR and RB outside of their first couple picks, same for Kona, though he got some great value with Hogan and Cooks who could very well end up being great picks in hindsight. I also don´t adore Mtrain´s because of his RB situation, having three guys in crowded situations, some better positioned than others, but if I had to pick an RB from each of those teams, it would be them.
These are only situations I find could backfire, but there isn´t a huge gap between the top and the bottom, with how this league went last year, the guy who starts more TEs wins, so what do I know 🤷‍♂️.

QB3 Wentz is a reach, but there aren´t many others i can clearly see that went muuuch ahead of where i would´ve taken them, maybe Olsen, Freeman and D. Henry could be later seen as reaches too, especially the latter two once their roles are defined.
Hogan and Cooks are great picks as I already said, the two autopicks got great value, and i was seeing gordon going in the late second, so grabbing him early fourth looks great too.
I would really like to undo McCoy, the girlfriend thing happened so fast, I read there was something and didn´t look into it, sent the pick, left work and read the whole article and was like, fuck man... But also, I was counting on getting Howard. Considering that, I would´ve taken Kamara or Barkley in the first and probably TY or Evans in the second, so I´d undo Hopkins too.
Love how this is going though! I love early drafts because you make mistakes you learn from quite early, and you can correct during the huge lapse of time that passes between rounds.

I need another receiver so I'm going with
    8.09 - Kelvin Benjamin - WR - Buffalo Bills
I need a receiver and this guy could play the part of a very decent WR2 once he learns the Bill playbook, which he had no time to do when he was transferred mid season.
If he's healthy he can very feasibly become the main weapon of a McCoy-less team (who I also have, fuck). I don't like putting so many eggs in the Buffalo basket, but I think he's the most talented WR left and could have a nice comeback year barring any injury problems.

This is the first time that I have done this league where the first 9ish rounds aren't pretty much just marching straight down the Fantasy Pros ranking list! It feels like you all know what you are doing a little more than my previous experience with FTA. This is exactly why i looked for a league with quite a few returning owners. I like doing the draft in these FTA leagues, but every year i have participated the league has gone completely stale after about week 3. It already feels like this wont be the case here.

    4.09 - Allen Robinson - WR - Chicago Bears
If the Bears are going to have the breakout year people say they will, it will be because of this guy. He was SO good that one season, and he had Bortles throwing his way, so a relatively better (though unproven yet) passer like Trubisky could make him the Top 10 receiver he has shown he can be.
His injury is the main turnoff here, you never know how they come back from knee stuff, but the upside is so good, it's hard to pass up. I think Gordon and Robinson are in a similar position, both playing with their best QBs yet, both coming back from inactivity (to dofferent degrees) and both with a top 10 ceiling and a one/zero game season floor.
I'm taking gambles this year, but a guy who, if healthy, is the best available number one receiver for his team sounds pretty good to me at this point.
(Sorry if I wrote something weird, I just came home and am a bit concussed)

Nice pic! Nothing can go wrong!
Okay, so I was really hoping to get Howard, and was very confident about it as kona can tell you from what I messaged him. But hey, I'm happy I could get a hard hitting RB1, with an enviable elusiveness , who is very difficult to catch and will get away with his against any defensive strategy.
Oh, and he's a good player too I guess.
Sorry I couldn't be here today! I was getting off the bus when the pick before mine came in and I knew I couldn't take a fiver to write anything up or pick the phone to do it.
Last year my #2 pick tore his ACL, let's hope it isn't jail this time!

Oh nooo, I got my hopes up about getting DJ!
    OK then, let's start with...
1.06 DeAndre Hopkins - WR - Houston Texans
Hopkins broke the elite wall last year, especially receiving from Deshaun Watson who should pick up where he left off and blow the league up again.
He can be something special, and given I got the first pick out the surefire 5, who won't be injured or have a bust year (😉), I'm comfortable picking him up and taking a risk, none of the other guys give me any more security than him.

Hi guys, my name is Santiago, I'm from Argentina and I'm one of the returning members, playing my second FTA league after enjoying a nice season eating shit last year.
I don't have one single favorite team, more of a player fan, but I'm quite excited to watch those renovated Browns and likely be disappointed.
My schedule is a bit tighter this year, with a new job and stuff, not enough to make me miss any draft windows, but just wanted to put that out there in case there are any unlikely inconveniences.
    Let's have a great one!

I’m in! I’m Ben from Minnesota and am a long suffering Vikings fan. This is my 4th year doing an FTA league. In years past I’ve used the FTA leagues to try out various drafting strategies. Last year apparently I tried the “all bust & injured” strategy and it didn’t work out too well. I have read the rules and new payout structure and am ready to begin drafting!
    Edit: Typo
