We have one of the most exciting tracks on the NASCAR schedule. Bristol Motor Speedway. A .53 mile oval track that lends to a lot of winners that start inside the 10. This week we will be looking drivers starting in the top 10, and that can lead many laps throughout the race. Lineups lock at 10AM PST. Lets get into the picks.
Tier 1 Targets:
Kyle Busch: $10,700 – Starting 5th
Why not Kyle Busch? He has won 5 out of his 21 starts at Bristol. Also an average finish of 11.95. He has been one of the best drivers so far this year, so look for that to continue at a track he has has success at.
Joey Logano: $10,300 – Starting 3rd
Starting in a good spot to lead some laps here. He has won 2 races at Bristol in the past 2 years. It will be near impossible to build a lineup with Joey Logano and Kyle Busch, so tough decisions to make at the top.
Also Consider: Matt Kenseth and Carl Edwards.
Tier 2 Targets:
Dale Earnhardt Jr.: $9,100 – Starting 20th
Dale has incredible track history here with 15 career top 10s, with an average finish of 12.84 in 32 starts. He is a fan favorite, so ownership will raise a red flag in GPPs. But he should be safe in cash.
Also Consider: Chase Elliott.
I think this is a dead range of drivers, so beware when you plug anyone at this range in your lineups this week.
Tier 3 Targets:
Kyle Larson: $7,600 – Starting 21st
Larson at his cheap price point provides an interesting GPP target. He has a pair of top 10s in his last 4 races here. If he can sneak his way into a top 10 finish, he will provide more than enough value.
Ryan Newman: $7,300 – Starting 17th
He has been super consistent here with 4 top 20s in his last 4 starts. He is a good cash game play this week, and he also has an average finish of 11th with 19 career top 20s at Bristol. Cash Game option.
Also Consider: Paul Menard and AJ Allmendinger.
Ricky Stenhouse Jr.: $6,400 – Starting 32nd
Chris Buescher: $5,800 – Starting 21st
