Draftkings DFS NBA 3/17 | Cash Game Plays

I haven’t been this excited about a slate in quite a while.  A number of key players have already been ruled out for tonight’s action including stars Isaiah Thomas and Eric Bledsoe, which opens up a number of intriguing plays for our cash game lineups.  If this is your first time on site, or you haven’t stopped by in a while, be sure to sign up for an FTA+ membership to read the full article!

DFS NBA 3/17 | Draftkings Cash Game Plays

Point Guard

Marcus Smart – Boston Celtics ($4900) vs Nets

With Isaiah ruled out, we can expect Marcus Smart to draw the start for the Celtics against one of the worst defenses in the NBA, the Brooklyn Nets.  In his only meeting with the Nets this season Smart played 30 minutes, shot just 2-10 from the field, and still managed 31.5 fantasy points as he posted 8 assists and 8 rebounds! We can expect Smart’s minutes to eclipse 35 minutes tonight, against a Nets defense that is still allowing the MOST FPPG to opposing point guards this season.  Smart presents a terrific floor at his price as he can contribute scoring, rebounds and assists, making him a cash game must for Draftkings NBA contests (Friday 3/17)

** Added Bonus – Smart can be played as a point guard or shooting guard! If you have plenty of point guard options you like, throw Smart in at the shooting guard position.

Other Options: John Wall (healthy?), Tyler Ulis (39 mins last game), Rajon Rondo, Reggie Jackson

Shooting Guard

James Harden – Houston Rockets ($11800) at Pelicans

Whatever configuration you settle on tonight, I think you should end up with both Marcus Smart and James Harden in your lineup.  When it comes to consistency this season, Harden and Westbrook are the gold standard, and while James does average 3 FPPG fewer on the road, he has already faced the Pelicans twice this season and averaged 56.4 fantasy points, which doesn’t seem overly impressive until you consider he averaged just 31.5 minutes (5 minutes fewer than his season average).  Harden is an absolute cash game lock tonight given the Pelicans lack of perimeter defense, and with any luck this game will remain close requiring Harden to play a full complement of minutes.

Other Options: Avery Bradley, Devin Booker

  1. I’m confused, “Tonight Nikola will face a Magic” team he has seen twice this season, averaged 22 minutes against, and a massive 32 fantasy
