Dontrelle Inman Is Gaining The Trust Of Philip Rivers
When Keenan Allen went down in week 1, I stated that Tyrell Williams would be the largest beneficiary for fantasy purposes. He is the type of player that Philip Rivers has had success throwing to in the past. Fortunately this has turned out to be the case. Although at the time I wasn’t interested in Dontrelle Inman, over the past few weeks I have seen him grow into a solid route runner and a trusted weapon in the offense. Things change and you can’t be left behind. Inman isn’t a transcendent talent. However he is the top waiver add of the week. As always, all of the players mentioned in the waiver column are available in over 50% of yahoo leagues. For more information and interaction, visit the forums page and our twitter.
Dontrelle Inman (5%) San Diego Chargers
Full disclosure; I am a long time suffering Chargers fan. Therefore I have watched every snap of Philip Rivers’ career and every heartbreaking interception. Nevertheless I am able to be objective when analyzing Chargers players and have payed a lot of attention to the development of Dontrelle Inman. In addition to Inman’s developmental improvements, he has a surprisingly safe fantasy floor. In the last 4 of 5 games, Dontrelle Inman has had at least 50 yards including his week 12 outburst of 6 catches for 119 and a touchdown. Furthermore, the Chargers have the 4th highest scoring offense in the NFL so there are touchdowns to be had on a weekly basis.
Tyreek Hill (37%) Kansas City Chiefs
Without doubt Tyreek Hill has been the best offensive weapon on the Chiefs for the past several weeks. I have been plugging Hill for a while and for that reason I’ll be brief. Add him.
Malcolm Mitchell (3%) New England Patriots
To repeat what I said last week about Malcolm Mitchell, using him hinges on Rob Gronkowski’s health. It’s looking like Gronk has hurt himself again and by all means if you want to speculate about a New England outside receiver add him. Following a 98 yard 1 touchdown game, Mitchell racked up two touchdowns while playing only about half of the offensive snaps. Meanwhile Mitchell seems to have carved out some sort of role in this offense and is worth an add if you have room to spare.
Marquess Wilson (1%) Chicago Bears
This was only Marquess Wilson’s second game of the season so there really isn’t much to analyze here. Matt Barkley was playing catch up and peppered Wilson with 11 targets and 8 catches for 125 yards and 1 touchdown. The Bears get the 49ers defense next week so if your in a deep league, Wilson could work.
