Welcome back everyone! Hopefully you enjoyed St. Patrick’s Day and the ensuing weekend. Saturday I tripled up on Draftkings, before having a down night yesterday by not sticking with my Lakers (I mentioned D’Angelo Russell was one of my favorite plays in chat before he dropped 40 real points on the Cavs, although I ultimately pivoted away in the final 5 minutes)

Draftkings DFS NBA Plays – Monday 3/20/17
Russell Westbrook – Oklahoma City Thunder ($13300) vs Warriors
I almost always just mention Westbrook as a solid play, before targeting another, but honestly if you are in cash games tonight Westbrook is a must. $13300 is too much to pay for any other player in the NBA, but Westy isn’t any other player. Averaging a triple double is astounding enough, however Westy will also be facing a Warriors team he has already seen 3 times, played 33 minutes and averaged 64.5 FPPG. You may be thinking a 65 point floor is terrific, but what really elevates this play for me is the fact that Westbrook is at home where he averages 6 fantasy points MORE, and one of his 40/10/10 games came against Golden State earlier this season. Russell is the safest money you can spend tonight, start your lineups with him in the PG position and then go from there.
Other Options: Jameer Nelson, Kemba Walker, Jeff Teague, George Hill, Marcus Smart, John Wall
Monta Ellis – Indiana Pacers ($3400) vs Jazz
As you know, when rostering Westbrook we need to go hunting value. If you want to get really frisky and roster Westbrook AND Harden you’re going to need value in almost every other position. Monta Ellis has now seen 25+ minutes in 3 straight games, while scoring double digits twice. In one previous meeting with the Jazz this season Ellis saw 33 minutes and posted 25 fantasy points. While he is now coming in off the bench and won’t see 30+ minutes, he should find no issue with achieving 17+ fantasy points to achieve value for his owners on Draftkings.
Other Options: James Harden, Evan Fournier, Nik Stauskas, Gary Harris, Andre Iguodala
