News and notes about matchups

- Try to avoid starting Stevie Johnson week 1. Not only is he battling a groin injury which could hurt his production, but he’s going to be blanketed by Darrelle Revis all game. That’s too much going against him to justify even a WR3 start.

- You may notice that Andre Johnson is much higher here than in our draft kit despite a bad matchup. This is because we do think that when he is healthy he will be effective. However, when you add in all of the injury question marks he should not be drafted as an elite WR.

- Jeremy Maclin is ranked in the top 10 this week even though he is facing last years second best defense against WR. Cleveland has a shutdown corner in Joe Haden, but he is likely facing a suspension. Expect a much less scary defense for WRs if Haden doesn’t play. If Haden were to play, both Maclin and Desean Jackson would be moved down.
