Each player is owned in less than 50% of ESPN Leagues at the time of this writing. Dayan Viciedo OF White Sox: Viciedo has been a pleasant surprise for Fantasy Owners this season. His slash line of .337/.404/.511./.911 probably won’t last forever but for now he’s as good as anyone else out there. (Stats) Matt Joyce OF Rays: He isn’t Bryce Harper but his slash line of .289/.410/.461/.871 is appealing enough to take a flyer on this week. He’s also playing everyday which of course gives him more opportunities to score for your team. (Stats) Marlon Byrd OF Phillies: Byrd is off to a stable start to this season and his slash line of .286/.318/.457/.775 suggests that last season wasn’t a fluke. The Phillies may not be the best offensive team in baseball but Byrd will get his so he might be worth a look this week. (Stats) Here are a couple of pitchers you might be interested in this week; Collin McHugh SP Astros: McHugh replaced injured pitcher Scott Feldman and has been dominant striking out 19 in just 15.1 innings of work. He’s also notched 2 wins as well. With this type of work it will be tough for the Astros to remove him from the rotation once Feldman returns. (Stats) Jonathon Niese SP Mets: Niese has been very consistent this season and if it weren’t for the Mets horrid offense he might be 4-0 on the season. His ERA of 2.20 and WHIP of 1.04 is just what we’re looking for. 22 strikeouts in 24 innings is good and the best thing is Niese has 2 starts this week. (Stats) Nate Eovaldi SP Marlins: Eovaldi is a good pitcher on an up and coming team but he’s done well in all categories thus far this season. He also has 2 starts this week and he’ll be a good source of strikeouts especially on Monday against the Mets. We’re heading into week number six of the Fantasy Baseball Season and we have injuries to Bryce Harper and Anibal Sanchez to deal with. Harper is out until at least the first week of July with an injured thumb and Sanchez is out until at least May 12, 2014 with an injury to his finger. Luckily for us the waiver wire provides us with some good replacement options for both injured players. Here’s what I have for you this week.
