Week 6 Rankings – Kickers (fantasy football 2012)

Greg Zuerlein enters week 6 with a narrow lead as the top kicker in the game, and holds onto his spot as his Rams gets set to face the Miami Dolphins in a game that could see plenty of field goals.

I have included each kicker’s field goal percentage and PAT so you can see where most of their fantasy contributions come from.

News and notes for kicker rankings

Waiver Wire pickups

Lawrence Tynes – NYG – Tynes is currently kicking at a 93% clip for his field goals this season, and for the high powered Giants offense he is a must add.  Make sure he isn’t sitting on waivers.

Blair Walsh – MIN – Walsh is 12 of 13 on the young season from field goal range, and kicking for the Vikings certainly has its advantages.  He gets the dome at home, and with the Vikings offense struggling in the red zone, should see plenty of field goals going forward.  With Tynes owned in most formats, Walsh should be your 2nd option.

Justin Tucker – BAL – As you would expect, the Ravens offer their kicker plenty of chances to connect on field goals, and that is the case in 2012. If you need a new kicker, Tucker should finish in the top 10 this season in terms of fantasy scoring.

Kai Forbath – WAS – One name you will notice missing from these rankings is Billy Cundiff, who was cut October 9th by the Redskins.  Kai Forbath will take over as the new kicker, and with the high octane RG3 led offense, could be a decent pickup in deeper formats.

BYE WEEKS

The only two options on a bye week are Gould and Hartley, if you need help replacing them hit up the forums.  The community will be happy to assist.

That is it for this weeks kicker ranks, if you like the article let me know.  This was my first kicker article, but due to popular demand I went ahead and wrote it up, if the demand continues I will make it a part of our weekly lineup.
