News and notes for week 4

QB’s with a BYE week – Ben Roethlisberger, Andrew Luck

Matthew Stafford - Stafford suffered a strained hamstring in week 3.  Plenty of owners will be asking, “Will Matt Stafford start week 4?”  We will know more as the week develops, but at this point it looks doubtful as the Lions have a BYE week coming up in week 5, so they can rest Stafford to have him come back healthy for week 6.  We will update here and in the forums when we know more.

Jake Locker/ Kevin Kolb - Both these players crack our top 25 with an impressive week 3 performance.  They aren’t yet a recommended play, but they are well on their way.

Jay Cutler - A QB that was expected to finish in the top 12 in fantasy scoring, he currently has fewer points than Brandon Weeden of the Browns.  With another poor performance in week 4, Cutler will fall out of the top 25 completely, but you can’t really expect him to keep playing this poorly.

Matt Schaub - Schaub breaks back into our rankings with a decisive performance vs. the Denver Broncos in week 3.  He gets another easy matchup in week 4 with the Titans who have already been involved in a couple of high scoring affairs.

Robert Griffin III - Griffin maintains his status as the highest scoring fantasy QB in 2012, with over 80 fantasy points.  He has reached must start status now.

Any questions about which QB you should be starting, please post them in the forums.

Philip Rivers tanked last week. Would you start Rivers or Fitzpatrick???
In my other league I have Schaub or Dalton.Who should i start there?

      Hey vikes,

I like both matchups for Rivers and Fitz this week, however because of the RB situation in Buffalo, I think the New England defense will be able to key in on shutting Fitz down, while Rivers will be looking to bounce back against one of the leagues worst defenses in KC.

I would start Rivers ahead of Fitz narrowly.

Schaub isn’t even a guarantee to get a TD pass a week that 2 headed RB attack is so powerful. Andy Dalton really aired it out last week, I would start him against a weak Jacksonville pass D.

      Hope that helps

P.S. in the future if you could post the questions in the forums, then the community can get involved and give their two cents as well :) I think it is harder for our readers to find these Q&A’s under the articles.
