Analysis

Aaron Rodgers – QB – Green Bay Packers

Obviously Rodgers will be one of the top question marks this week.  IF he is declared the starter, I would rank him in the top 6 QB’s for week 16, as the Packers need to win to keep their thin playoff hopes alive.

Should I start Nick Foles or Drew Brees?

With Drew Brees heading out on the road this week against Carolina, my recommended play would be Nick Foles in a shootout with the Bears.  It seems many Brees owners are also Foles owners, which is the only reason I have included this question in the analysis section.

Can Tony Romo be trusted?

As any Cowboys fan will tell you… absolutely not!  Romo is a fickle mistress, but with one of the better matchups of week 16 (WAS) on deck, Tony is one of the higher upside gambles and a low end QB1 in my book

Russell Wilson at 15??

This should be a low scoring affair with the Arizona Cardinals as two of the better defenses in the NFL square off, I wouldn’t start Wilson as a QB1 this week with any confidence.

    Hi Kyle

If Rodgers is healthy would you play Rodgers or Nick Foles in week 16? Also I will have to make the same decision as to who to keep in 2014?

    Thank You Very Much…

      Hi Mike,

I would start Foles. Rodgers would be at the risk of re-aggravating his injury, and Foles has been one of the better options at QB since taking over as starter.

As for keeper, how do the rules work? If it costs you a pick in the draft, I would hold on to Foles as I assume you grabbed him off waivers, and it would be a late round pick. If it is just straight keeper with no picks involved, then I would keep Rodgers

I think you have to go Romo in that scenario as his matchup is too good to ignore with WAS on tap

RB – I would start Gore and Rainey

      WR – Jeffery / DJax

Flex – Decker (since it looks like Welker is out)

TE – might as well go Witten, he does have a nice matchup

Kyle guess what, just heard news B Tate out for season, I went and grabbed D Johnson… Do i even think about him as a starter, if not at least I stopped the person I am up against from picking him up… Thank You for advice…

As a Tate/Johnson owner myself I will be trotting D Johnson out as a starter, but I don’t have the same stable of backs that you do. I think in your case you are better off with the other 2 (Gore/Rainey)

Kyle Thanks again for your advice, you are the best, hope to email you back next week letting you know I won my championship. Thanks. Tim

Who would you start for the last week -

          Rivers or Foles
          thanks

            December 20, 2013 at 15:30

I like Foles as I expect the Bears/Eagles game to be a matchup, but if we hear any rumors about them possibly benching Nick, then start Rivers

who should i start at QB (2 starters) i got Colin Kaep, Jay Cutler and Nick Foles?

    • __KJ__

      December 20, 2013 at 15:29

I would go with Cutler/Foles as long as there isn’t any word of them benching Nick Sunday night (game might not matter for Eagles)

Considering starting cutler over brees. Have Carolina D plus Marshall. And my opponent has Jeffrey. What would you do?

    • __KJ__

      December 20, 2013 at 15:30

Yep, I would double up on Cutler/Marshall for this one. Bears need the win and have everything to play for

    Hey Kyle,

    Drew Brees or Jay Culter?

    Bobby Rainey or Jordan Todman

T.Y. Hilton or Cordarelle Patterson or Andrew Caldwell?

    • __KJ__

      December 21, 2013 at 11:58

I think Cutler’s matchup is too good to ignore, I go with him over Brees this week

      Rainey at RB

Hilton at WR, hope Luck can finally get him involved

    Current Roster
    QBs: D Brees, P Rivers
    Wrs:J Gordon, K Allen, P Garcon, R Cooper
RBs: Z Stacy, C Ivory, S Vereen, S Jackson, B Rainey, J Todman, and Dennis Johnson
    TE: J Graham
    Def/ST: Seahawks
    K: S Gostkowski
Need 2 WRs, 2 RBs and 1 flex
Im thinking of starting 3 Wrs: Gordon, Allen and Garcon
Brees said I should stick him? What do you think?
    Thanks!

    • __KJ__

      December 22, 2013 at 04:41

I agree, stick with Brees. I prefer to play the touches game, so I would probably start Dennis Johnson, but that is because I expect him to eclipse 20+ touches against DEN this week

Hi, I have Romo and Foles. Who would you start? How much concern should I have about Foles being benched? Thanks.

    • __KJ__

      December 22, 2013 at 04:42

I still haven’t heard any rumors of Foles being benched, so I would stick with him. I think regardless of the outcome, Chip Kelly will want to make sure his future QB finishes strong, but that is just my opinion. Plus, I dont really trust Romo in the winter months

I still like Cutler this week, as the matchup is too good to ignore
