The tight end rankings remain on a roller coaster ride after another tumultuous round of games in week 13, lucky for the majority of owners, the top options remain the same. While some tight ends do have solid matchups, we can expect another wild week for the tight ends here in week 14.

News and notes – week 14 rankings and mathcups – tight ends (TE)
Dallas Clark – TE – Tampa Bay Bucs
Dallas Clark continues his ascent up the rankings, going from early season blocker to impact TE for Tampa Bay. While he certainly isn’t right for everyone, if you find yourself heading into the playoffs with Antonio Gates or Dennis Pitta as your TE, you will definitely want to consider Clark as a superior option.
Antonio Gates – TE – San Diego Chargers
This offseason there will be plenty of speculation as to whether Gates poor performance in 2012 was due to Philip Rivers, or Gates himself. Either way, we do know that he isn’t the TE1 that many expected this season, and he has dropped out of my top 20 tight ends all together.
Brandon Pettigrew – TE – Detroit Lions
It was revealed earlier this week that Pettigrew had not fully regained the strength in his legs until just last week, and suddenly he is starting to produce much like we expected before the season began. If you have held on to Pettigrew this long, it looks like he is starting to come around at just the right time and can be trusted as a low TE1 again in all formats.
