Let’s jump right into this and see what players I have on my radar for the qualifiers this week.Quarterbacks: Mike Glennon, Tampa Bay Buccaneers ($5,900): When playing in GPP tournaments you need to take risk with cheap players and that is what Glennon is this week. Glennon is capable of putting up above average numbers as we saw in week 11 and 12 where he scored 17.64 and 16.18 fantasy points. You can look past last week’s struggles against a very good Carolina defense and focus on his matchup against Buffalo who ranks in the middle of the pack for fantasy points allowed to opposing QB’s. We should see Glennon return to form this week while exceeding his value with this favorable matchup.Drew Brees, New Orleans Saints ($9,900): Majority of you may be saying I am crazy to mention Brees in this column since he will be facing a Carolina defense that is playing at the top of their game right. Brees though is a total different QB at home and in primetime games where he has thrown for 1107 yards, 12 TD’s, 0 interceptions and 1 rushing TD in three games this season. After last week’s struggles against Seattle look for Brees to make the adjustments and show Carolina they are the team to beat in the NFC South.Running Backs: LeVeon Bell, Pittsburgh Steelers ($6,400): Bell looks to put his concussion behind him and should be on the field this week when the Steelers face a Miami defense is allowing the eighth most fantasy points to opposing RB’s this season. With Miami’s struggles stopping the run and Bell’s balanced attack he brings to the team we should see him exceed expectations this week.Matt Forte, Chicago Bears ($8,100): When playing on draftkings.com you have to be aware that they score a reception as one full point, where most sites score them as .5 point. Forte who is not only known for his rushing ability but his pass catching ability out of the backfield as well? This week Forte will face a Dallas defense who ranks dead last for fantasy points allowed to opposing RB’s thanks to allowing a league worse 7.3 receptions to opposing RB’s. Forte is high on my list this week as he should be in majority of my lineups on draftkings.com.Wide Receivers: Vincent Jackson, Tampa Bay Buccaneers ($6,500): You got to be kidding me with this price-tag. This is extremely low for a number one receiver who will be facing a secondary that is allowing the second most fantasy points to opposing WR’s this season. I am all over this play as I feel Jackson is going to fly over his value this week.Larry Fitzgerald, Arizona Cardinals ($6,900): Fitz has been extremely consistent over the last three weeks in which he has scored 18 or more fantasy points in each of the last three games while recording four TD’s over those three games. This week he will face a Rams defense that is ranked right in the middle of the pack for fantasy points allowed to opposing WR’s. IF AZ wants a playoff shot they need a big win this week and look for Fitz to contribute to that victory.Tight Ends: Jared Cook, St Louis Rams ($3,800): Cook is not one of those TE’s that is going to give you consistent points, this week I like the fact that he is playing an Arizona defense that ranks dead last for fantasy points allowed to opposing TE’s. In week one this season Cook torched Arizona for seven receptions, 141 yards and 2 TD’s; he may not duplicate that but he should still be close to that type of stat line this week.Delanie Walker, Tennessee Titans ($4,500): Keep an eye on the injury report for Walker since he has been battling a concussion all week that kept him out of practice Wednesday. If Walker is good to go this week he has a lot of upside this week. Walker will face a Broncos team that is allowing the third most fantasy points to opposing TE’s this season. Tennessee will be playing from behind most of this game and with Walker seeing an increase in targets the last few weeks he should be able to exceed his value in this game.Flex:Rod Streater, Oakland Raiders WR ($4,200): If you spend some big on majority of your positions you need to find that value somewhere and Streater could be that guy this week. Streater and the Raiders will face a Jets defense that has been torched by opposing WR’s as they are allowing the seventh most fantasy points to opposing WR’s. With Denarius Moore most likely out again look at Streater being the number one option in the passing game this week.Defense: Oakland Raiders ($2,900): I mentioned in my Fanduel.com column and I will say it again, any defense playing the Jets has to be given some consideration. This is a cheap price for a defense that has plenty of upside this week as they are my favorite play for a defense on draftkings.com this week.New England Patriots ($3,800): Now some of you may not like the fact Oakland is traveling across country to play the jets with a 1:00 PM start time which is really 10:00 AM west coast time. If that is the case you want to lean towards NE who is at home against a Browns team that has no clue who their QB is going to be.
There are only two more weeks left to qualify for the Draftkings.com Millionaire Grand Finale on December 22nd. If you are looking to become a Millionaire then you need to get into some contests this weekend on draftkings.com to secure that chance.
