Week 12 Quarterback Rankings and Matchups – 2013 Fantasy Football
- Updated: November 18, 2013
What a mess this past week was at quarterback. Keenum’s owners were hosed by shoddy coaching in Houston, as Case threw his first pick of the season… and was promptly benched in favor of the turnover happy Schaub. Still can’t make heads or tails of that decision, but let us press on to the week 12 quarterback rankings and matchups and let bygones be bygones.

The question marks ??
So many unknowns heading into week 12, and the biggest question of all will be what is going on with Case Keenum. He wasn’t having a terrible day, as he slowly crept up on 200 yards passing with a TD, but one pick later, and coach Kubiak decided he had seen enough as he sent Matt Schaub out to send his team to defeat. Kubiak announced Keenum as the starter for week 12, and I sincerely believe he will leave him in this time against a weak Jaguars secondary, so I will keep Keenum just inside the top 10.
The other 3 unknowns are Matt McGloin (solid performance in week 11 against the Texans), Christian Ponder, and Geno Smith. Smith will likely retain his starting job, and if Pryor remains injured, McGloin should see another start for the Raiders. The Vikings QB situation is a mess, and best left untouched, even in 2 QB leagues. Any of the 3 Minnesota quarterbacks could end up taking the field in week 12… all with little upside.
Time to trust Tom Brady again?
I don’t know that trust is the right word, but how many times have we seen this Brady/Manning saga played out on a national stage, and it always seems to come down to the final possession. I’m counting on yet another shootout as we add another chapter to the book, and think this could be one of the weeks where Brady’s owners can consider him a “must start”.
