Out – Rob Gronkowski (back), Heath Miller (knee)
- Zach Sudfeld: The 6’7” undrafted rookie has already been given the nickname “Studfeld” due to his stand out play in training camp and the preseason games. Sudfeld has the biggest upside of any TE while Gronk is out nursing his injury. Tom Brady and tight ends go together like chocolate and peanut butter. He has an opportunity to shine.
- Brandon Myers: Myers led the Raiders in receiving yards last year, and he is just the sure-handed weapon that Eli Manning needs. Nagging injuries to Victor Cruz and Hakeem “never 100% healthy” Nicks, as well as Andre Brown’s recent broken leg, leaves the Giants without many reliable offensive weapons. Myers can be that guy.
- Jared Cook: Cook breaks into the top 5 this week due to a strong preseason and a favorable matchup. The Rams are in the midst of an offensive makeover with the loss of Steven Jackson and the emergence of newcomers Tavon Austin and Cook. Look for Patrick Peterson of the Cardinals to take the Rams’ top receiver out of the game. The Cardinals will also be without their top linebacker, Daryl Washington, due to a suspension. Look for Sam Bradford and Cook to connect numerous times.
