The Packers officially declared Greg Jennings out for their Thursday night matchup with the Chicago Bears, September 13th, 2012.  This injury news has wide ranging impacts that fantasy owners need to be aware of.

Jordy Nelson – If you didn’t already consider him a WR1 for this week, this ought to do it.  Nelson will be the most talented receiver on the Packers side of the ball tonight, and he should see more targets as a result of the injury.

James Jones – Jones gets a huge boost in our fantasy rankings as he should go from 5-7 targets, to 8-12 targets as he will now be Aaron Rodgers second WR.  Jones played 86% of the snaps last week, and was solid with Jennings on the field.  With Jennings sidelined, Jones now becomes a recommended start in all fantasy formats, especially PPR.  James Jones is now a solid WR3 for tonight’s matchup.

Randall Cobb – Sleeper WR extraordinaire Randall Cobb gets a boost right along with Jones as he will be Rodgers 3rd option in the passing game tonight.  The Packers had already stated their intent to find ways to get Cobb the ball, including in the backfield, and his touches will go up as a result of Jennings being inactive.

Jermichael Finley – It would be impossible for Finley to get much more of a boost tonight, as he was already our 3rd TE coming into this contest.  If you have him, you will want to start him.  He is a must-start TE1 for this matchup vs. the Bears.

Cedric Benson – Benson was expected to have minimal impact anyway, 1 injured WR on the Packers won’t cause them to rely on Cedric any more than usual.  He is a shaky RB3 for this week, and should be reserved in many formats, especially shallow ones.

Aaron Rodgers – The injury should have little to no affect on Rodgers, as he will be throwing the ball regardless of who is catching it.

That is it for today, just wanted to get out the word on Jennings so fantasy owners were aware of his status for the Thursday night football game vs. the Bears.
