Week 3- Torrey Smith has been a dissapointment through two weeks. He has done almost nothing after a spectacular preseason with the new and improved Ravens Offense. This is not the same Patriots Defense, they’re no longer an easy matchup. Torrey Smith is a risky play in week 3 that will probably have either a big game or a dud game, making him a low-end WR3 for week 3.
Week 1 – Barring a breakout season from QB Joe Flacco, we have Torrey Smith ranked right around the top 30 WR for this week, and most of the season. Torrey and the Ravens will be taking on the Bengals in this week 1 matchup, and it doesn’t figure to be a high scoring affair.
Preseason Analysis
Torrey Smith is projected to be the #1 WR for the Baltimore Ravens in 2012, but with Joe Flacco’s inconsistency you have to take that with a grain of salt. Adding in the run first approach of the Baltimore Ravens, and you can see why Smith is projected to be a #3 WR for most fantasy teams this season. A solid complement to your receiving corps, but not an elite talent, we recommend looking for Smith in the 7th round of fantasy drafts.
