Week 1- Coming into the year, Helu looked like he was going to be the starting RB for the Redskins. Shannahan of course is making things confusing and like always nobody knows who will be starting. Whoever does start will likely be a strong RB2, but nobody knows who it will be for sure.
Many fantasy owners were looking to Roy Helu to be the leading rusher for the Washington Redskins in 2012, but it looks like deja vu all over again as Mike Shanahan has announced a wide open RB competition in camp. Evan Royster, Roy Helu, and Alfred Morris are all in the mix, just like they were last year, and while Helu looks like the safest option, he could be a very frustrating own as he splits time with the other two backs. If you are absolutely set on drafting Helu this season, wait til the 8th round or later as he is no better than a #3 RB for fantasy football 2012.
