Week 5- Expect a relatively big game out of Benson in Week 5. The Packers should be way ahead of the Colts all game, which should lead to them running the ball a ton. The Colts Run Defense is awful, and that means that Benson is a high-end RB2 for Week 5.
Week 4- He’s playing the Saints Defense in week 4, and you know the drill. He could have a huge game against the worst defense in the NFL, and he needs to remain in your lineup as a RB2.
Week 3- It seems like every week we’re talking Benson’s tough matchup, and week 3 is no different. People are starting to realize just how good the Seahawks Defense is, and Benson becomes more of a desperation option in week 3. Don’t start him as anything more than a Flex.
Week 1- Benson is now on the Green Bay Packers and should have a solid season overall as a solid Flex play. For week 1, look for a better option. The 49ers defense is easily the best defense in the NFL against the run and should make the already pass happy Packers even pass happier.
Cedric Benson was signed by the Packers out of free agency, and it looks like he will be given the starters job in Green Bay, as rumors leak out that James Starks is expected to be cut. While the Packers will still be a pass first offense, Benson has plenty of value as a RB3 and the starter for one of the best teams in the league
