Week 9 - Wilson continues to operate as a low QB2 after his week 8 performance of 236 yards, 2 TD’s and 1 INT. He should not be considered an option outside of deep 2 QB leagues at this point.
Week 5 - Thanks to the 4 bye weeks Wilson makes our top 25 QB’s, otherwise he would be on the outside looking in. He is not an advisable start for any format at this point, after throwing for 160 yards, 0 TD and 3 INT’s in week 4 against the Rams.
Week 2 – Wilson had a very poor showing in his first professional game in the NFL, and he is a very low QB2 for his week 2 matchup with the Cowboys. Wilson enters the week outside our top 20 QB for week 2.
Week 1 - Russell Wilson leads the Seattle Seahawks against the Arizona Cardinals in a week 1 matchup. There is no denying that Wilson was spectacular in preseason action for Seattle, and now the focus will turn to his in season play. Heading into his rookie debut in the NFL, he is an advisable start in 2 QB leagues, but Wilson should be benched in single QB formats for now.
Russell Wilson shocked the football world when he won the starting job for the Seahawks for 2012. Matt Flynn had signed a nice free agent contract to step in and be the QB of the future for the Hawks, but coach Carroll had other plans in mind, and the rookie Russell Wilson will be QB come week 1. Based on his outstanding preseason play, Wilson i
s a QB2 in most formats for this season.
