Week 10 - Brees lost one of his top weapons in Darren Sproles heading into week 9, but this game against the Falcons should be a shootout. Brees owners drafted him as their #1 QB, and there is no reason to consider benching him now.
Week 9 - What more do you need to know? Drew Brees is a MUST start option. Keep him active in all formats.
Week 6 - Brees and the Saints have a bye for week 6, he enters the bye week as the top fantasy point gainer in football.
Week 5 - Brees threw for 446 yards, 3 TD’s and 0 INT’s in week 4 against the Packers, and that still wasn’t enough to get his team the victory. The Saints have no choice but to keep airing it out, and Brees remains a must start going forward.
Week 4 - Drew Brees’ performance in week 3 wasn’t quite enough to beat the Kansas City Chiefs, but he did his job for fantasy owners as he threw for 240 yards, 3 TD’s and 1 INT. Obviously we expect more yardage out of Brees going forward, and his week 4 matchup with the Packers is just the opportunity for him to showcase his arm. Brees is a must start in all formats for week 4.
Week 3 – Of the top 5 elite QB’s heading into the season, Brees has been the most consistent, so while names like Rodgers and Brady fall from the top 5, Brees tops the list heading into a week 3 matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs. How many different ways are there to spell out must start?
Week 2 – Brees put up some decent numbers as his team tried to come from behind against the Redskins a week ago. Now heading into a week 2 matchup with the Carolina Panthers and their leaky pass protection, Brees tops our rankings of must-start QB’s. Don’t even think about benching him.
Week 1 - The first week of the NFL season should be an interesting one for Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints. Coming off one of the more tumultuous offseasons in recent memory for any team, all eyes will be on Brees to see if the offense performs at the same high level. Brees will be taking on a Redskins team that was 12th in overall passing defense last season, but with new QB RG3 at the helm, this game could be played at a much quick rate, and Drew will be a must-start in his week 1 matchup with the Washington Redskins.
Preseason Analysis
By now everyone is well aware of Drew Brees and his ability as a passer. Even with his head coach being suspended for the entire season, he should continue to produce at a high level. Coming off a year in 2011 where he set the all-time record for passing yards by a QB, he will once again be an elite option come draft day 2012.
