Week 4 - The Texans have allowed just 40 points through 3 games in 2012, and are one of the better shutdown defenses in football. For fantasy purposes, they have yet to come up with a defensive TD, and don’t have a great return game. In week 4, the Texans get the Titans who have committed just 5 turnovers through their first 3 games, so the opportunities won’t be great for a return TD. The Texans still come in as a top 10 defense for week 4, and are a recommended start in all formats.
Week 2 – Houston was owned in 97% of fantasy leagues heading into week 1, and they showed why as they recorded 3 sacks, 3 INT’s and a fum (15 fantasy points). Week 2 will see the Texans in Jacksonville taking on Blaine Gabbert and the Jaguars. The Texans will have their hands full dealing with MJD, but should be active in 100% of formats they are owned in.

The Houston Texans lost a few key pieces on defense during the offseason of 2012, but with Mario Williams still in the fold they are expected to be one of the league leaders in sacks once again for the upcoming 2012 season. Our projections currently have them at #3, and they should be targeted in the 13th or 14th round of standard fantasy league drafts.
