Update – 10/18/12 - Kevin Love broke his hand in a practice on Wednesday, and will require approximately 6-8 weeks to recover according to the Timberwolves PR department. This puts the elite PF/C back around the end of November, beginning of December, dropping him to a late 2nd round pick in our eyes. If your team can afford the hit, you will get terrific production out of Love when healthy, but it is also a gamble that he won’t have any complications in his recovery.
Kevin Love has become one of the top fantasy options in basketball, and a year after averaging 26 PPG, 13.3 RPG, 2.0 APG, .9 SPG and 1.9 3 pointers he will once again be a top 5 draft pick in all formats. This guy averages a double-double over the course of a season, while knocking down 3 pointers and blocking shots at a .5 BPG pace. Once Lebron and Durant go off the board, owners will want to think seriously about picking up Love, who may be even better this year for the Minnesota Timberwolves
