While Elton Brand isn’t exactly a fantasy beast these days, he is still a solid fantasy sleeper as he averaged 11 PPG, 7.2 RPG, 1.6 APG, 1.0 SPG, and 1.6 BPG a season ago. Elton will be backing up Chris Kaman this year, and as long as Kaman is healthy you can expect Brand’s numbers to be quite a bit lower this year. The good news? Kaman is one of the more injury prone players in the NBA, meaning Elton Brand should see plenty of minutes over the course of the season. Pick up Brand in the 10th round or later in your fantasy draft this season, he may not produce on a nightly basis, but when Kaman ends up taking a seat you will be happy to have Elton and his production.
