Incredibly, it seems that the 6′ 8” Boris Diaw could open the 2012-13 listed as the Spurs opening day center. That will be purely aesthetics however, as he will most likely be playing alongside DeJuan Blair and Tim Duncan who are bigger and figure to fill in at center when play actually begins. Either way, Diaw averaged just 6.4 PPG, 4.9 RPG, 3.6 APG, and .6 SPG a season ago while averaging 2 TOPG. Those averages were over the course of 25 minutes per game, so you can’t expect them to increase much and Diaw is a borderline final draft pick that we recommend letting go to waivers except in the deepest of formats. His FT% of .629 won’t do you any favors either if you are considering picking him up.
