Confirmed 2 start pitchers for week 10

Funny how drastically things can change over the course of 5 days.  I just released the sneak peek at 2 start pitchers on Tuesday, and by Saturday there have been a significant amount of changes made to the rotations in major league baseball.  I have consulted sources including CBSSports, MLB.com and Yahoo to pull these projections together.

I am absolutely astonished at the sheer number of mid-level options for the week ahead.  There is the usual assortment of must-start pitchers in the top tier, but then we skip right into a vast pool of middling talent where you have to make a choice between ERA/WHIP, K’s and wins.  Be sure to look extensively through the third tier for that diamond in the rough (Michael Wacha perhaps?)

    News and notes

Jered Weaver was bumped out of his 2 start week by Joe Blanton, taking away another top tier option, and adding a guy that no one should be considering in standard mixed league play.

Michael Wacha is scheduled for 2 starts in the week ahead, following his impressive start in week 9.  While he had to settle for a no decision, Wacha did strike out 6 batters in 7 innings, and is a name that is currently flying off the waiver wire.

As I previously mentioned, I pull this info from 3 major websites, and if you currently rely on CBSSports for your 2 start pitcher information, they are lacking the name Trevor Cahill on their list.  He is scheduled to go Monday for the D’Backs, with Brandon McCarthy Tuesday.  Both pitchers should see 2 starts in week 10.
